Mill and Cabinetmaking Technology

Course Description:

Students in this class will have the opportunity to further develop skills needed in the area of industrial woodworking or millwork ? manufacturing and production of quality cabinets and furniture. This class is great for students who want to jumpstart their career in areas such as Manufacturing Engineer, Cabinet Maker, Interior Design, etc. Students will be made aware of new technological advancements and changes occurring in this traditional but progressing industry. Upon completion of this class students will have the opportunity to take the Woodwork Career Alliance (WCA) national certification. Dale Jackson Career Center is one of only two schools in the state that can offer this industry recognized certification. Material fee of $40 for core project. Students wishing to do personal projects will be expected to pay for the materials.

Prerequisite: Manufacturing Technology 2 $55 fee for Woodwork Career Alliance (WCA) Passport due first week of class
