Course Description:
iPad (technology-used daily), minimal (1) pair of dark grey/pewter scrubs, & (1) white lab coat Students must register for & be licensed Pharmacy Technician Trainees with the State of Texas. (State Background Check, Physical Drug Testing, Non-Expired Government ID & Social Security Number required). Required to provide proof of this registration the first week of class. compounding. This certification opens the doors for students to work in any pharmacy Students will be cross-trained for retail, hospital and clinical pharmacy. Students will learn sterile and non sterile preparations which involves the creation of IV medications and base-level pharmacy environment including retail, mail-order, hospital, compounding, or clinical pharmacy setting. Students participating in this program will need personal transportation to & from internship locations. LISD will not-provide transportation to internship(s). Certifications Earned: Pharmacy Technician Certification, CPhT
