Practicum in Transportation, Distribution & Logistics (Auto Tech)

Course Description:

The Automotive Technology Practicum Course is designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills through industry job shadowing, mentorship, and internship (internship may be paid or unpaid). Students will be required to facilitate employment or internship in an Automotive Industry workplace such as; Service/Repair Facilities or Parts Suppliers/Distributors. Students will adhere to workplace guidelines such as; dress and appearance, professional conduct, punctuality and attendance. Student must have reliable transportation, student must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test. Students interested in this program should inquire about afternoon placement in this program for the purpose of industry placement. Other material and supply fees may be required.

Prerequisite & Recommendations:

Prerequisite: Automotive Technology 2 and pass three ASE Entry-Level certification tests. Requirement: Valid Drivers license - Transportation to and from the rotation sites (busses are not provided)
