Practicum in Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics (Diesel)

Course Description:

The Diesel Technology Practicum Course is designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills through lab-based learning, industry job shadowing, mentorship, and internship (internship may be paid or unpaid). Students will be required to take designated industry certification tests. Students will learn and follow strict automotive/diesel shop safety procedures. This course covers employability skills such as; professional dress, punctuality, how to behave in a professional environment, and job interview skills. The focus of this course is to prepare the student for an automotive technical school. Other material and supply fees may be required.

Prerequisite & Recommendations:

Prerequisite: Automotive Technology 1 and pass three ASE Entry-Level certification tests.
