Photojournalism

Course Description:

Students will learn photojournalism principles, digital editing techniques, and historic development of photojournalism to the extent that they will become aware of which subjects will provide the best journalistic coverage, will be able to capture that subject on a digital camera, and edit the photo for a variety of journalistic purposes. Portraiture, documentary/candid photography, and sports/action photography will all be covered. Students may be able to use photographic equipment at their school, but having access to their own digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera is recommended for the best classroom experience.
