Course Description:
This course is a study of the origin and development of the United States Constitution, structure and powers of the national government including the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, federalism, political participation, the national election process, public policy, civil liberties and civil rights. Students/Parents/Guardians are responsible for any registration, tuition, fees and textbook costs. Students served under Free/Reduced lunch may qualify for tuition waivers. This course is equivalent to GOVT 2305 - Federal Government (3 credit hours). *Juniors should complete U.S. History prior to taking this course.
