World History GT AP

Course Description:

This college level course has a chronological framework beginning with the foundations of history and continuing to the present. Truly global in nature, the course includes studies of major political, social, economic and artistic movements found in societies in Asia, Europe, Africa, and North and South America. Extensive reading and composition prepare the student for the rigors of the Advanced Placement exam. Enrollment in designated GT courses will be limited to students who formally qualified for Gifted and Talented Services in LISD. If a GT course does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, it may need to be combined with the Pre-AP/AP course offering.
