Chemistry A - Virtual Learning

Course Description:

In Chemistry, students study a variety of topics that include characteristics of matter, use of the Periodic Table, development of atomic theory and chemical bonding, chemical stoichiometry, gas laws, solution chemistry, thermochemistry, and nuclear chemistry. Students will investigate how chemistry is an integral part of our daily lives. To be successful in this class, the student needs to have a working knowledge of algebra and geometry. Instruction and content are delivered primarily over the Internet. Students may have opportunities to meet with their instructor for personalized instruction. Students do not have to be physically present on campus to take an online course.

Prerequisite: One Unit of High School Science (Biology OR Biology Honors), Successful completion of Algebra 1
