The purpose of this course is to motivate students to strive for lifetime personal fitness with an emphasis on the health-related components of physical fitness. Students improve their fitness within the class and learn the process of becoming fit. The concept of wellness, striving to reach optimal levels of health, is the cornerstone of this course. Students may only earn a half credit for this specific TEKS-based course. Instruction and content are delivered primarily over the Internet. Students may have opportunities to meet with their instructor for personalized instruction. Students do not have to be physically present on campus to take an online course.
